and the music keeps coming...

It looks like I'm readily closing in on 10-15 new tracks that will form the basis of the next Billy Riggs Band CD. My manager Nick and I will be selecting the best group of songs to take to the studio, tweaking the sounds and mixes trying to make things really click. I intend to go to Cleveland, OH to work with Ryan Lott in his studio. At this point I am targeting the middle to end of May because it seems to work for schedules the best. Here is a list of some of the new song titles to give you a taste of what's to come:

Ice Cream Summer
Better Than
At Ease
Cincinnati
Dandelions
Complex Paradigm
Object of My Affection
Just Another Thing (It's Only a Fling)
Meeting Mona
Clay Street
Bluegrass Horseman
Thinkin About... Forever
Yoga Class

I have a 2-3 more songs that remain untitled, but they will join this group eventually. I may be trying some of these out live within the next two months so keep your ears open.

The Ladybug

I saw a ladybug crawling across the floor of BART this morning.. It was absolutely fascinating and made me smile. Where did this bright red creature crawling across the blue-carpet expanse of the train floor come from? I thought it was good luck until some dude came by and squashed him... The smile turned to a smirk...

how rude!!! Oh well???

Supporting the Troops

Thanks to my colleague Eric I am supporting the troops. Today I shipped 4 CDs over to Iraq. I had reservations but feel it the least I can do for people who are putting their lives in harms way for a cause.

We might or might now believe in the cause, but we can choose to respect the lives of those who have committed their own lives to support it. I'm a little nervous about this but hopefully my music can provide some comfort for those who have been away from home for a while...
