Frances England: New Album

Well, my cousin's wife Frances England has done it again, created a masterful children's album with wide-ranging appeal, and with very, very little assistance from me. While I played on a few of the introductory tracks for "Tug Boat" apparently none of them made the final album. She's upped the anty this time and invested in some serious production too, moving away from my bedroom-based mastering and production, which you can hear in the sound quality. She , cousin John, and their two young ones, have done a great job with this project and I would encourage all to get copy. Best, Billy

A few weeks ago we sent out the email below with a link to video from recent Billy Riggs Band gigs and a link to a music listener survey to those local to the San Francisco, Bay Area.  The response to the survey has been good, but in order to diversify responses I'd like to solicit responses from those who may be outside of the area.

Thanks all for a wonderful gig at 111 Minna Gallery last Friday!!!  We have already been invited to come back there and are tentatively planning a Sept/Oct timeframe.

New Album and New Web coming soon

A new limited edition album is now available on CD Baby (www.cdbaby.com). This disc was recorded specifically for Billy's wedding in 2006. Expect new full-length disk in 2007.

Also expect a new web platform in the next months.

Additional News on Fascinating Creatures

As an update to the work recording, producing and playing on the recent children's album by Frances England, the CD recently was awarded an 'platinum' Oppenheim Award in the audio category for songwriting (http://www.toyportfolio.com/). There should be press releases, award stickers, etc. within the next few weeks for the disk.
The Oppenheims are known as being "the only independent consumer review of children's media" so it's a great addition to the albums credits.

In addition to an amazing review in the July/August edition of Cookie Magazine, featured the album and gave it an amazing professional review to its nation-wide audience.
