CITY SESSIONS

I would like to put in a plug for City Sessions (http://www.citysessions.com) I went to the Bay Area acoustic rock showcase last night with my friend Meredith and was completely impressed. Club Waziema, which I don't think they realized means "crazy man" in Kiswahili (which is definitely not spoken in Ethiopia), is the perfect venue. Despite the clubs naming difficulties, it is hard to resist platters of Ethiopian food with a tall beer in the backroom while you listen to the smooth sounds of acoustic rock.

Last night there three artists that took the spotlight. One was a gentleman named Sherman Baker who was a very talented songwriter and I thought was pretty good.(http://www.shermanbakermusic.com) I am definitely interested in playing at this event and maybe at Club Waziema on a more regular basis. I would encourage you to check the venue out the first Tuesday of every month for the "sessions."
